This day-long course starts with tea, coffee and a slice of cake before you get going on your bread masterpieces. Course tutor, Alison Haigh, will guide you through all the skills you need to make delicious bakes including Focaccia and Chelsea buns.
You will learn new skills including how to knead your dough, the art of proving and timing for perfect results every time.
The course runs from 10.30 to 15.30 (approx). Includes morning tea, coffee with cake and a light lunch to keep you going. You will go home with all your bakes, so make sure you bring plenty of containers. TOP TIP: Supermarket cardboard veg boxes are perfect for transporting your bread back home.
Our Artisan Bread Making course is a friendly and fun event, involving hands-on baking for up to eight people.
Just a couple of things to note; the Artisan Bread Making course can run over due to baking times and the kitchen tends to get rather hot with all the ovens on, so it’s advisable to wear light clothing to keep cool and comfortable.
All of our courses are friendly and fun experiences, designed for all abilities, with the aim to introduce you to new and exciting culinary skills that you can share with your friends and family.
