If cheese is your thing, then you can’t afford to miss our cheese making courses! Louise Talbot, a professional cheese maker from Cutting the Curd, will guide you through the theory and practice of making soft cheeses across two courses. Our Artisan Cheese Making course features halloumi, mascarpone and mozzarella cheese along with butter. The More Artisan Soft Cheese Making course will give you the opportunity to make feta, ricotta and camembert. The focus of these courses is on making cheese in your home with basic kitchen equipment using either raw or supermarket milk.

  • New Skills

    You will learn about the importance of temperatures, cleanliness and the use of different milks for the cheese making process. You will also learn about cutting the curd and that good things come to those who wait…namely, delicious cheese!

  • Enjoy

    The course runs from 9.30 to 14.30 and starts with tea and coffee. You will enjoy a light lunch accompanied by a glass of wine or soft drink all included in the price.

  • Mingle

    The course is a friendly and fun event, involving hands-on cookery for up to 14 people working in pairs.

All of our courses are friendly and fun experiences, designed for all abilities, with the aim to introduce you to new and exciting culinary skills that you can share with your friends and family.

Qualified teacher Louise Talbot combines her passion for cheese and teaching others new skills, at our Artisan Soft Cheese Making courses. 

Louise is a member of the Specialist Cheese Makers Association and The Guild of Fine Foods,  a World Cheese Awards, Global Cheese Awards and Great Taste judge and teaches cheese making classes across the country.
